Acceptable Use Policy

These rules explain what is not allowed on LipVox, especially around consent, identity, abuse, and platform safety.

Last updated: June 4, 2026

1. Your responsibility for inputs and consent

You are responsible for everything you upload and generate, and must have rights and consent.

You are solely responsible for the photos, audio, scripts, and other materials you upload ("Input") and for every video you generate. You represent and warrant that:

  • You own, or have all necessary rights and licenses to, every photo, voice sample, and other material you upload.
  • You have the explicit, informed consent of any identifiable person who appears in, or whose face, likeness, or voice is used in, your Input or Output.
  • You can provide proof of that consent and of your rights on request.
  • Your use of LipVox and your Output complies with all applicable laws, including privacy, publicity, intellectual property, and consumer-protection laws.

If you cannot satisfy these conditions for a given person or asset, you must not use it with LipVox.

2. People, likeness, and impersonation

Do not create likenesses of real people without explicit consent, and do not impersonate.

You may not use LipVox to:

  • Create an avatar, face, or voice of a real identifiable person without their explicit consent.
  • Impersonate any individual, brand, company, or organization in a way intended to deceive.
  • Create content that depicts a real person doing or saying something they did not do or say, in a manner intended to mislead ("deepfakes").
  • Use the likeness or voice of public figures, politicians, celebrities, or officials to create deceptive, defamatory, or misleading content.

Using a person's voice, face, or likeness can also be restricted by right-of-publicity and biometric laws, such as California Civil Code section 3344, New York Civil Rights Law sections 50 and 51, the Tennessee ELVIS Act, and the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act. You are responsible for complying with these laws, and our voice and media providers may additionally block or restrict the cloning of celebrity and other high-risk voices.

3. Minors

Zero-tolerance: no content sexualizing, endangering, or exploiting minors.

Any content that sexualizes, endangers, or exploits minors, or that depicts a minor in a harmful, abusive, or inappropriate context, is strictly prohibited without exception. Suspected violations will be reported to the appropriate authorities.

4. Deception, fraud, and elections

No fraud, scams, fake news, election interference, or undisclosed synthetic media.

You may not use LipVox for:

  • Fraud, scams, phishing, or social-engineering content.
  • Fabricated statements, fake "news," or misinformation presented as authentic.
  • Content designed to interfere with elections or political processes, or to impersonate electoral authorities, candidates, or officials.
  • Synthetic media intended to deceive viewers about its authenticity where disclosure is required by law and is omitted.

5. Harmful, illegal, and abusive content

No sexual content, harassment, hate, terrorism, IP infringement, or defamation.

You may not use LipVox to create or distribute:

  • Sexual, pornographic, or sexually explicit content.
  • Harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, or content that incites violence or discrimination against individuals or groups.
  • Content promoting self-harm, terrorism, violent extremism, or illegal goods and services.
  • Content that infringes any third party's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property rights.
  • Defamatory, libelous, or knowingly false statements about real people or organizations.

6. Platform and security abuse

No reverse-engineering, scraping, resale, malware, or DoS against LipVox.

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to circumvent usage limits, credits, or security controls.
  • Resell or sublicense access to LipVox without authorization.
  • Upload malware, or use LipVox to attack, overload, or disrupt our systems or others.

7. Disclosure of synthetic media

Where local law requires AI-generated media to be labeled, you must disclose.

LipVox Output is AI-generated synthetic media. We apply provenance or machine-readable marking signals to Output to indicate that it is AI-generated, consistent with emerging transparency rules such as the EU AI Act, and you must not remove, alter, or obscure those signals. Where the law of your or your audience's jurisdiction requires AI-generated or manipulated media to be labeled or disclosed, you are also responsible for providing that disclosure.

8. Enforcement

We may remove content, suspend accounts, revoke credits, and report illegal activity; where we act against your content or account we give you a reason and a way to appeal.

Acting proportionately and to the extent permitted by law, we may:

  • Review, restrict, remove, disable, or refuse to generate content that we reasonably believe violates this AUP, our Terms of Service, or applicable law.
  • Suspend or terminate accounts that violate this AUP, our Terms of Service, or applicable law.
  • Revoke credits associated with violating activity.
  • Report suspected illegal activity, including any content involving minors, to law enforcement and relevant authorities, and cooperate with lawful investigations.

Statement of reasons and appeal. Where we remove or restrict your content, or suspend or terminate your account, on the grounds of illegal content or a breach of these policies, we will, without undue delay, give you a clear statement of reasons — including the ground we relied on, the relevant facts, and whether automated means were used — and tell you how to contest the decision. You may appeal by replying to that notice or by writing to support@lipvox.com, and a member of our team, not an automated system alone, will review it. We may withhold or delay notice only where the law requires it, where notice would obstruct an investigation or the prevention of serious harm, or where the content is manifestly illegal. Serious or repeated violations may result in termination without refund.

9. Reporting illegal content, abuse, and takedown requests (notice and action)

Anyone can report illegal content or misuse of their likeness or voice to support@lipvox.com; we confirm receipt, review diligently, and tell you the outcome.

If you believe content created with or hosted by LipVox is illegal, or violates this AUP or your rights (including your likeness or voice being used without your consent), you can notify us at support@lipvox.com. This is our notice-and-action mechanism, including for the purposes of the EU Digital Services Act (DSA). To help us act quickly, please include:

  • An explanation of why you consider the content illegal or in breach of this AUP.
  • The exact location of the content, such as a URL, share link, generation ID, or the account involved.
  • Your name and email address, except where the report concerns child sexual abuse material, where contact details are not required.
  • A statement that you believe in good faith that the information in your report is accurate and complete.

We will confirm that we received your notice and will handle it in a timely, diligent, non-arbitrary, and objective manner. Where a report is valid we may remove or restrict the content, suspend the responsible account, and, where a person's likeness or voice was used without consent, take steps to stop further use. We will tell you our decision and, where applicable law such as the DSA gives you a right to challenge it, the redress options available, including our internal appeal at support@lipvox.com. We also respond to valid requests from law enforcement and other authorities as required by applicable law.

10. EU Digital Services Act (point of contact and legal regime)

Our single point of contact for DSA matters, the authority that supervises us, and when we may notify the authorities of a criminal offence.

Because LipVox is available to users in the European Union, we comply with the obligations that the EU Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065) places on a hosting service of our type. The following applies in addition to the rest of this policy:

  • Single point of contact. support@lipvox.com is our single point of contact for recipients of the service and for Member State authorities, the European Commission, and the European Board for Digital Services. Communications may be made in English.
  • EU establishment and supervising authority. LipVox maintains an establishment in the European Union (Bulgaria). Because we are established in the Union, we are not required to appoint a separate legal representative under the DSA, and the competent Digital Services Coordinator is the authority of that Member State, without prejudice to the powers of other competent authorities.
  • Notice and action. Our mechanism for reporting illegal content is set out in the section above, and our statement-of-reasons and appeal process is set out in the Enforcement section above.
  • Notification of criminal offences. Where we become aware of information giving rise to a suspicion that a criminal offence involving a threat to the life or safety of a person has taken place, is taking place, or is likely to take place, we may inform the relevant law-enforcement or judicial authorities and provide the available information.

11. Changes

We may update this AUP; continued use after changes means acceptance.

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes take effect when posted with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of LipVox after changes take effect means you accept the updated AUP.
